Japan Hour at the 35th Space Symposium (April 9, 2019)

On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, Consul General Midori Takeuchi attended a Japanese public relations event called “Japan Hour” which was jointly sponsored by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) at the 35th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs. Consul General Takeuchi thanked many participants joining the event and mentioned that space cooperation between Japan and the United Stated has deepened in the areas such as civil uses and national security. She expressed in her remarks to attendees her hope that the event would be an opportunity to strengthen business relations and cooperation between Japan and the United States in the field of aerospace.
The Space Symposium was established in 1984 for the purpose of bringing together global space-related organizations to exchange information concerning the future of the aerospace industry. In total, 16 companies from Japan participated in technological exhibitions at the symposium this year.
