Consul-General Takeuchi attends the 2019 Topaz Pilgrimage (August 4, 2019)

     On Sunday, August 4, 2019, Consul General Takeuchi attended the 2019 Topaz Pilgrimage organized by the Japanese American Civilian League Secretariat. The Topaz Relocation Camp is one of ten Japanese American relocation centers constructed in Utah during the WWII.

     More than 100 people attended the 2019 Topaz Pilgrimage including a former President of JACL, Mr. Floyd Mori, Executive Director of JACL, Mr. David Inoue, incarcerated Japanese Americans at the Topaz Relocation Center and their families. Consul General Takeuchi toured the Topaz Museum in Delta, Utah before visiting the sites of the camp.
