Japanese Ambassador Sugiyama visits Colorado (August 6, 2019)

     On Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Ambassador Shinsuke Sugiyama visited Colorado to pay courtesy calls to Colorado Governor Jared Polis and General John W. "Jay" Raymond, Commander of the United States Air Force Space Command (USAFSC), and Joint Force Space Component Commander of the United States Strategic Command at Peterson Air Force Base to exchanges views on Japan-U.S. relations. 

     After visiting General Raymond, Ambassador Sugiyama toured the headquarters of both the USAFSC and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM).

     Ambassador Sugiyama also visited Terumo BCT, a Japanese medical manufacturing company, and had discussion with the Japanese business executives who run business in Colorado.
