Consul General Ito paid Courtesy Visit to USAFA Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michelle D. Johnson(April 27, 2015)

Consul General Ito paid a courtesy visit to Lieutenant General Michelle D. Johnson, Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) on Monday, April 27, 2015.
The Consul General mentioned how cooperation between the U.S. and Japan has deepened with events such as the Japanese Prime Minister’s visit to the U.S. and revisions of the Japan-U.S. Defense Guideline. He also stated that while it is the Consulate General’s mission to contribute to strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship, he wishes to strengthen the relationship with the USAFA as well.
In response, Superintendent Johnson said she feels a kinship with Japan, and expressed the desire to maintain and further develop a cooperative relationship with the Consulate General of Japan in Denver
