Consul General Ito paid Courtesy Visit to General Lori Robinson, Commander of NORAD and NORTHCOM(July 12, 2016)

On Tuesday, July 12th, Consul-General Ito paid a courtesy visit to General Lori J. Robinson, Commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Consul-General Ito said national security has become a bigger key issue and he wishes to strengthen relations with NORAD and USNORTHCOM as a way of contributing to stronger relations between Japan and the U.S.
In response, General Robinson said Japan-U.S. relations as well as relations with neighboring countries is very important and she would like to cooperate with the Japanese consulate also.
