Mrs. Ito meets with new Ikebana International board members (November 14, 2016)

On Monday, November 14th, Mrs. Ito met with the new board members of Ikebana International Denver Chapter #66 at the Official Residence. Chapter #66 was established in 1962 and welcomed its 54th anniversary this year. With Ikebana International’s motto “Flowers and Friendship” as their own and a focus in Denver, Chapter #66 has made continuous efforts to promote mutual understanding and friendly relations between Japan and Colorado. On behalf of the Consulate, Mrs. Ito expressed her appreciation for their steady activity in the local community over many years and exchanged opinions about introducing Japanese culture through ikebana and the importance of cultural exchanges between Japan and the U.S.
