Consul-General and Mrs. Hirakoba attend 2017 Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony (May 20, 2017)

On Saturday, May 20th, Consul-General and Mrs. Hirakoba attended the 2017 Amache Pilgrimage Memorial Ceremony held at the Amache Camp where many Japanese-Americans were interned during the WWII. This year is the 41st memorial ceremony to be held. It is held every year in May to honor and remember the 120 individuals who died in the camp and the 31 enlisted soldiers who lost their lives on the battlefield in Europe. Approximately 100 persons not only from Colorado and but also from other states attended the ceremony.
