Fresh and modern Japanese jazz group ai kuwabara trio project will perform in Denver, as a part of their four U.S. city tour 2013 sponsored by the Japan Foundation. The band’s music is urban contemporary jazz with a strong, experimental feel and a flavor of funk. The band pays respect to a wide-range of musical styles, featuring elements of progressive rock and even pop. Ai Kuwabara was influenced by Chick Corea from the Miles Davis band and Michel Petruciani, who is known as one of the greatest jazz pianist in the 80’s and 90’s. Bring your friends and family for this musically and culturally rich Japanese jazz concert. The group is led by young jazz pianist Ai Kuwabara with Yusuke Morita on bass guitar and Shintaro Imamura on drums.
