JET Program Q&A Session (June 9th, Saturday)
On Saturday, June 9, the Consulate General of Japan in Denver held a Q&A Session for the 26th annual JET Program participants in order to assist in their preparation for departure.
The audience listened eagerly as JET Alumni panelists gave instructions and advice to help the participants begin their lives in Japan, such as dealing with culture shock and etiquette in a Japanese office.
The JET Program is a program that sends participants from 39 countries to Japan, mainly as Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) or Coordinators for International Relations (CIR). The program, now in its 26th year, has sent 4,330 participants from all over the world, including 2,322 from the U.S.
This year, approximately 50 people are to participate in the program from our four-state jurisdiction. They will be leaving for Japan this July.
