Consul General ONO’s Pays Courtesy Call to Lt. General Michael C. Gould, Superintendent of US Air Force Academy (April 24, 2013)
Consul General ONO paid a courtesy visit on April 24 to Lt. General Michael C. Gould, Superintendant of the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. During the visit, Consul General ONO reiterated appreciation for the Tomodachi Operation, the US military’s disaster relief mission following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. He also noted his strong impression and delight to know the extent of the Academy's long term engagement in Japanese study, and its active cadet and instructor exchanges with Japanese counterparts. In response, the Superintendant expressed his desire and intention to further develop cooperation with the Consulate General of Japan in the future.
