Japanese Language Students from Area High Schools Visit Japan (part 1)

The Consulate General of Japan in Denver and the Colorado Japanese Language Education Association (CJLEA) have worked together closely to dispatch to Japan a group of 23 students learning Japanese language, from six area high schools in Colorado and Wyoming. The group is travelling under the Kakehashi (Bridge for Tomorrow) Project, which is fully funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, from May 26 - June 5, 2013. The six high schools are; Castle View, Boulder, Eagle Crest, Bear Creek, Smoky Hill of Colorado, and Kelly Walsh of Casper Wyoming. The group’ trip includes a visit not only to Tokyo, but also the opportunity to go to Obihiro City in Hokkaido Prefecture to experience cultural exchange with local Japanese high school students.
