Presentation by the Participants of the Japanese American Leadership Delegation to Japan (JALD) (May 15, 2013)
Recent participants in the Japanese American Leadership Delegation to Japan (JALD) made presentations on their experiences to several leading members of the Japanese American community in Denver, during a gathering at the Consul General’s residence on May 15, 2013. Consul General ONO and Judge Kerry Hada made opening remarks for the occasion, followed by presentations from two recent participants of the program; including Mr. Michael Bosack (2012) and Mr. Kenzo Kawanabe (2013). Mr. Bosak and Mr. Kawanabe capably explained the content and significance of the program in detail for the audience, and both of noted that they felt the program had helped build upon and renew their commitment toward working for strengthened US-Japan relation. For those in attendance these presentations provided a good opportunity to think about various roles that Japanese Americans might play in terms of the goal to strengthen US-Japan relations.
