Sister City Relationship between Longmont City, Colorado and Chino City, Nagano (August 6, 2013)
Consul General ONO attended a welcome reception at Longmont City Hall on August 6, for a delegation of junior high school students from Chino City in Nagano, Japan and from Ciuda Guzman, Mexico. Both cities are sister cities of Longmont. The reception was attended by about 50 people including Longmont Mayor Dennis Coombs and Mr. Jose Luis Orozco, the Mayor of Ciuda Guzman. Eight junior high school students from Chino City have been staying in Longmont since the end of July. During their visit, they experience a homestay with a local host family, a variety of other exchange opportunities, and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery of Colorado. They returned to Japan on August 8th.
