Attendance at Nan Desu Kan 2013 Anime Convention (September 13th, 2013)
A Consul from the Consulate General of Japan in Denver attended the Nandesukan 2013 anime convention in Denver on September 13, offering opening remarks for the event. The remarks touched upon an anime seminar co-hosted by the Consulate and Nandesukan last March, along with a recommendation that participants should try to visit Japan and learn Japanese to help understand anime more thoroughly. Anime is quite popular in the US and this area, and the convention was attended by around 8000 people over 3 days.
