Consul General's attendance to "Aki Matsuri" in New Mexico (September 29, 2013)
Consul General Ono and Mrs. Ono attended the annual "Aki Matsuri" fall Japanese cultural festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 29th. This festival is held every year around this time, organized by the New Mexico Japanese American Citizens League (NMJACL). The number of the attendance is on the rise year after year and this year thousands of people attended. On the main stage, various kinds of Japanese traditional and modern culture were introduced, including dance, wadaiko (drums), shigin (poem recital), and even a Cosplay contest for anime fans.
