Consul General ONO Attends Japanese Cultural Festival in Santa Fe (March 22, 2014)
Consul General Ikuhiko ONO and his wife attended the 10th Annual Nihon Maturi (Japan Cultural Festival ) in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 22nd, 2014. This festival is an annual event organized by a local Japanese cultural group, the Santa Fe JIN. In addition to the Consul General, Santa Fe city councilman Mr. Peter Ives and Mr. Davis Begay, Honorary Consul General of Japan in Albuquerque, were also in attendance. The festival showcased a variety of Japanese traditional culture with booths and demonstrations. The highlight of the festival was a Japanese kite-making workshop held by members of the Japanese Kite Association visiting from Japan.
