Mr. Blake Kitayama from Colorado will participate in 2014 Invitation Program for Japanese American Students

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan sponsors "Invitation Program for Japanese American Students" with purpose of providing Japanese American students with an opportunity to learn Japanese language and to assist their activities to preserve Japanese culture, for Japanese American high school students of new generations.

Mr. Blake Kitayama, a 12th Grader high school student in Boulder, Colorado, is going to visit Japan as one of five delegates of the invitation program from United States this year. Mr. Kitayama plays a leading role among Japanese-American youth with Simpson Methodist Church, which is important for Japanese American Community in Colorado. Also, he plans to major in bio-science and cello performance at Vanderbilt University this coming fall. The 12 days program starts from 27th June, and it includes experience of high school classes in Japan, excursion to local area in Japan, and home stay.
