Farewell Reception for Consul General of Japan in Denver Ikuhiko Ono was held in a downtown Denver hotel on March 19, 2015, with around 100 guests ranging from federal, state and local governments sector, U.S. military services, Consular Corps in Denver, and eminent people from various fields.

Colorado Governor Hickenlooper expressed appreciation on his success for 3 and half years and regret at his departure, a message from Denver Mayor Hankock was read by his representative, a commemorative gift was presented by a representative of Japanese American community in Utah, and farewell toast was made by the Colorado Liutenant Governor Garcia.
