Japan-Colorado Business Seminar 2024 (March 11, 2024)

On March 11, 2024, the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver and the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder co-sponsored the Japan-Colorado Business Seminar 2024.

The seminar attendees included Dean Vijay Khatri, Associate Dean Richard Wobbekind from the Leeds School of Business, and Mr. Akira Kajita, Chief Executive Director of JETRO Los Angeles. Panelists were Ms. Elise Hamann, Global Business Development Manager, Office of Economic Development & International Trades, State of Colorado, Mr. Jonathan Coors, CEO, CoorsTek, Mr. Keita Yasuda, Vice President, OneConnect & Strategic Planning, Panasonic Smart Mobility, Mr. Gregory P. Hanes, CEO, Cattlemen’s Beef Board and Mr. Takahiro Fukuo, Sr. Business Development Analyst, Terumo BCT. Consul-General Mikami and Deputy Consul-General Azechi were in attendance, too.

In this seminar, JETRO Los Angeles presented its efforts to strengthen Japan-Colorado economic relations by organizing various events, supporting startup companies, and promoting cooperation in multiple fields, including hydrogen and aerospace. Then, the panelists made presentations. Attendees asked many questions during these sessions, indicating a high level of interest in promoting and strengthening the Japan-Colorado economic relationship.
