Takayama City Students Visit the Consulate-General (August 7, 2025)

Twenty junior and senior high school students from Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture (Denver's sister city), arrived on August 7th for a five-day stay as part of their city's 30th annual overseas exchange program. Consul-General Okajima welcomed them to the Consulate.

Consul-General Okajima gave a welcome address and explained the Consulate's duties. The students asked many insightful questions about the life of a diplomat.

We hope that during their five days in Denver, the students will experience firsthand the interactions with their host families, the natural beauty and cityscape of Colorado, and American culture, allowing them to expand their future aspirations!
