On October 15, a promotional reception for “Aiiku Fish” from Ehime Prefecture was held at the Consul-General's official residence.

Following welcome remarks by Consul-General Okajima, Mr. Katsumi Masumoto, Director of the Fisheries Bureau of the Ehime Prefectural Government, gave a presentation introducing the Aiiku Fish, and Mr. John Hayato Branderhorst, Executive Vice President of the Japan-America Society of Colorado, gave the toast.

During the reception, attendees enjoyed dishes prepared by the Consulate Chef Jo using Aiiku Fish, including red sea bream, yellowtail, and White trevally (striped jack) that were shipped directly from Ehime Prefecture. The reception also offered an opportunity for a sake tasting, where attendees sampled and compared several varieties of sake produced in Ehime. The reception hosted representatives from the Colorado state government, business organizations, distribution companies, and the local restaurant industry, all of whom enjoyed the rich flavors of the Aiiku Fish.

The Consulate-General of Japan in Denver will continue its efforts to introduce the delicious foods and high-quality ingredients of Ehime Prefecture and other regions of Japan.
